Kenya Airways

Charter Flights

Book flights from Nairobi to Khartoum on 6th July. Nairobi to Paris on 7th July; Paris to Nairobi on 8th July. Nairobi to Johannesburg on 7th July. Nairobi to Dubai on 11th July.
 
To minimize risk of COVID-19 spread, Kenya Airways will not offer blankets, headsets, newspapers in the Business Cabin; and blankets, headsets in the Economy Cabin. All guests are required to wear a mask at all times and maintain social distance at the airport for all formalities (Check-in / Boarding etc).

Requirements for Khartoum to Nairobi flight on 6th July 2020

  • Flight is only open to Kenyan Citizen and Residents with valid permit.
  • Guests are required to arrange for their own COVID-19 tests.
  • A copy of COVID-19 medical results is required at the check in counter and the results must be negative.
  • Government guidelines is that all guests will be quarantined at own cost 14-28 days.


Requirements for Nairobi to Khartoum flight

  • Flight is only open to Sudan Citizens, Permanent Residents and those with Valid Work Permits.
  • All Guests are required to arrange for COVID-19 Test.
  • Guests can be tested at any Lancet lab at a fee of Kes 8000.
  • COVID-19 test need to be done within 72hrs of the flight.
  • Guests need to present medical test results at check in and must be negative.


Requirements for Nairobi to Paris flight on 7th July 2020

  • Travelers arriving from outside the European area will, upon arrival, be given information on the conditions for a voluntary 14-day quarantine in the residence of their choice, or where appropriate, in an appropriate accommodation structure.
  • Travelers are asked to show civic responsibility and to follow the health precautions recommended by the authorities.
  • Travelers have to fill the declaration attached before boarding.
  • No COVID free test is needed.
  • Passengers on transit to another country, will be exempt from the voluntary 14-day quarantine.

  • Flight is only open to Kenyan Citizen and Residents with valid permit.
  • Guests are required to arrange for their own COVID-19 tests.
  • A copy of COVID-19 medical results is required at the check in counter and the results must be negative.
  • Government guidelines is that all guest will be quarantine at own cost 14-28 days.

Nairobi Johannesburg Mwanza 9th July 2020

Requirements for Nairobi Johannesburg flight

  • Flight is only open to South African Citizens, Permanent Residents and those with Valid Work Permits.
  • All guests are required to arrange for COVID-19 Test.
  • Guests can be tested at any lancet lab at a fee of Kes 8000.
  • COVID-19 test need to be done within 72hrs of the flight.
  • Guests need to present medical test results at check in and must be negative.

Requirements for Johannesburg Mwanza flight

  • Guests are required to arrange for their own COVID-19 tests.
  • A copy of COVID-19 medical results is required at the check in counter and the results must be negative.

Requirements for Nairobi Dubai flight on 11th July 2020
  • Flights to Kenya are only open to Kenyan citizens only flying back home.
  • All guests are required to arrange for their own COVID-19 tests prior to travel.
  • Guests are required to present a copy of COVID-19 medical results at the check in counter and the results must be negative.
  • All passengers must undergo a mandatory quarantine of 14-28 days at their own cost as per government of Kenya guidelines.
Requirements for Dubai to Nairobi flight
  • Flight is only open to Dubai Citizens, Permanent Residents and those with Valid Work Permits.
  • All Guests are required to arrange for COVID-19 Test.
  • Guests can be tested at any lancet lab at a fee of Kes 8000.
  • COVID-19 test need to be done within 72hrs of the flight.
  • Guests need to present medical test results at check in and must be negative.
 

Jambojet

Nairobi to Bujumbura on 2nd and 4th July 2020

Requirements for Travel:

  • Guests travelling to Burundi must be citizens or permanent residents of Burundi.
  • Guests travelling to Kenya must be citizens permanent residents of Kenya.
  • Guests are required to arrange for their own COVID-19 tests prior to travel.
  • Guests are required to present a copy of COVID-19 medical results at the check in counter and must be negative.
  • Must be ready to adhere to Government of Kenya and Government of Burundi quarantine regulations.
  • Guests traveling to Kenya must sign and submit the health declaration form attached.

 

KLM

Repatriation Flight

KLM together with the Dutch Embassy have organised a repatriation flight from Nairobi to Amsterdam on 9th July 2020; with onward connections to many other destinations in Europe and North America.

Passengers arriving into Nairobi must be in possession of COVID-19 free certificate and will be subject to mandatory quarantine for 14 - 28 days at own cost.

In view of the constantly changing rules and travel restrictions, the KLM schedule will be adjusted accordingly. Customers are advised to familiarize themselves with applicable travel restrictions that vary from country to country and person to person and may be subject to change prior to booking.



Emirates

Repatriation Flight 

Emirates is liaising with the UAE and Kenya Government to operate a repatriation flight on Friday, 3rd July and in addition purchase can be made for onwards destinations as long as passengers are compliant with the respective country's regulations.

Requirements for Nairobi to Dubai Flight on 3rd July 2020

  • Passengers will be subjected to local entry requirements of the individual countries.
  • Check-in at JKIA at Terminal 1B4hrs before departure as per government travel protocols.
  • Check-in will close 90 minutes before departure.
  • It is recommended to have a COVID-19 free certificate.
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask and observe social distancing


COVID-19 PCR TEST   

Get COVID-19 PCR tests done at any Lancet Lab in Kenya, as well as Nairobi Hospital or AgaKhan University Hospital.    
         

From 1st July, passengers travelling to Lebabnon from these countries must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test before they are allowed to fly:
  • Europe: all countries except Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Armenia
  • Africa: Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Republic of Central Africa
  • Asia: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Iran
The test must be taken within 96 hours before departure to Lebanon and the results must be presented at Emirates check-in and to the Lebanese authorities on arrival.

Passengers travelling from all other countries and transiting via Dubai do not need to show a test result before they fly.  However, they will have to take two tests on arrival (see below).
  • All passengers must complete a health declaration form before arrival in Lebanon.
  • All passengers except diplomats, members of international organisations and UNIFIL must have an insurance policy covering all costs of Covid-19 treatment throughout the duration of their stay in Lebanon before arrival.

Exiting and re-entering Lebanon

Passengers who travel from Lebanon and return within a week do not have to take a COVID-19 PCR test before they depart back to Lebanon.

Payment for a test on arrival

All passengers aged over 5 years travelling to Lebanon from any destination must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival. The cost of the test is USD 100 for every passenger and must be paid before travel by contacting their local Emirates office or travel agent. Passengers must remain in self-isolation in Lebanon until their results are released, which will be within 24 hours of arrival.

 Please be informed of the following important details:
  • EMD (COVID PCR TEST FEE) is to be issued for collection of PCR test fee.
  • EMD Service (EK - Emirates)
  • EMD Types (COVID-19)
  • Sub Type (COVID PCR TEST FEE)
Payment will be collected at airport check-in for customers who have not contacted Emirates prior to travel, or have an EMD issued by their travel agent.

Passengers who did not need to present a test before travel must take a second PCR test 72 hours after their arrival through a lab designated by the Ministry of Public Health medical team at the airport. The cost of the test is to be paid directly to the designated lab.

Arriving passengers who receive a positive PCR test result must follow the directives of the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon until they recover.


 

Lufthansa Group

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group are reacting to the changed booking preferences and are now moving from short-term to longer-term flight planning.

From 2nd July, the timetable of Lufthansa, SWISS and Brussels Airlines, which is valid through 24th October 2020, will be implemented in the booking systems. Following the successful restart, Austrian Airlines will gradually expand its flight offer in the coming weeks.

By the end of October, over 90 percent of all originally planned short- and medium-haul destinations and over 70 percent of long-haul destinations will be served again.* Customers who are now planning their holidays will thus have access to an extensive worldwide route network via all Lufthansa Group hubs.

Flight cancellations and rebooking options

With the publication of the new flight schedule from 14th July to 24th October 2020, necessary flight cancellations will also be made. The flight cancellations will be gradually implemented in the booking systems from 29th June 2020.

Customers affected by flight cancellations are rebooked automatically as far as possible.  Rebooking can be made free of charge for passengers who wish to change their routing based on the goodwill rules.

Staggered reconfirmation process according to travel date

In order to further facilitate the reconfirmation** of bookings affected by flight cancellations, Lufthansa have staggered the confirmation deadline by travel date. This staggered approach applies initially to Lufthansa and SWISS PNRs only:

  • For PNRs with a travel date up to 31st August 2020, reconfirmation must be made within 21 days after the flight cancellation
  • For PNRs with a travel date on/after 1st September 2020, reconfirmation must be made within 42 days after flight cancellation.
  • The LH/LX reconfirmation process will now also be activated for customers who have booked their flights directly with Lufthansa or SWISS.


For Austrian Airlines the reconfirmation process will be activated with the publication of the summer timetable.

Rebooking options for new bookings through 31st August 2020

Customers can book their next trip without worries. With the airlines of the Lufthansa Group they can rebook at any time, free of charge, for a new travel date up to the end of 2021. This now also applies to all new bookings up to 31st August 2020.
