Kenya is now implementing a digital verification process for all inbound travellers and outbound travellers to those countries that require a Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Result.

The Government of Kenya has partnered with the African Union, Africa CDC as well as Panabios to implement an online system to authenticate COVID-19 PCR test results that a traveller presents in line with the requirements set out by the Trusted Travel Initiative.

Once a traveller’s PCR Test Result meets the exit and entry requirements for Kenya and their destination of travel, they can then be issued with a Trusted Travel Code, that can be verified by the airlines and Port Health Officials. The traveller will receive an SMS from Panabios as well as an email from the laboratory that they visited and/or from [email protected] with a link to generate their Trusted Travel Code.

The Ministry of Health asserts that all COVID-19 Laboratories in Kenya have been on boarded on this new platform. Therefore effective 11 January 2021, the digital verification of PCR test results is now a requirement for all travellers arriving in Kenya and also those departing Kenya whose destination of travel requires a negative Covid-19 Certificate.

Travellers coming into Kenya from countries that haven't implemented the Trusted Travel Initiative will use a tool provided by the UNDP-supported Global Haven Partnership ( to authenticate their PCR test results, and Covid-19 vaccination certificates. Please be aware that this process only applies for countries that require a negative Covid -19 Certificate.

It is now required for all customers, including Dutch and other EU citizens, to present a negative PCR test result and a signed declaration form travel to or via The Netherlands.

Customers who fly to or via The Netherlands from high-risk areas must be in possession of a negative PCR test result before boarding. The test must have been done no more than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival of the customer in The Netherlands. A ten-day self-quarantine period still applies upon arrival in The Netherlands.

The negative test result must be in English, German, French, Spanish or Dutch. Customers must bring the printed negative test result and the negative test declaration form. Customers must be able to show both at all times during travel.

The specific health regulations applicable to customers traveling on COVID-tested flights from Atlanta to Amsterdam overrule this policy.
